Having a logo for your research group makes science communication easier and can be a powerful tool in securing research grants and funding.
ALS is a devastating disease and has a fundamental impact on not only the patients lives but also thier relatives, next of kin, friends and caregivers. It effects everyone involved and researchers are continually working to improve patients life and outcome. This logo is representing these efforts as well as the people and faces behind the disease in and outside of the clinic and laboratory setting.

Logos as branding element are used everywhere in daily life to enhance recognizability, visibility and credibility.
The competition training group in my local climbing gym asked me if wanted to create a logo for their training shirts and competition outfits that can represent their team spirit. The logo shows the between climbers well recognized fist bump. Symbolizing support for each other, having each others backs and community of their team and our sport.
